Plumeria trees are one of the most common trees in Hawaii. These Hawaii  flowers are used to make the leis you see worn in Hawaii.

Hibiscus comes in a variety of colors. The red one is the state flower.

Taro is the most common plant grown by the Hawaiian. Its corms are pounded into poi.

This vanda orchid is one of the most common Hawaii flowers. You’ll see it used for decorations.

Hawaii Ecosystem

All the moss you’ll see around waterfalls and streams on your Hana Road drive acts as a sponge, soaking up the continual rainfall. During times of drought, the moss slowly releases its water back into the aqueous ecosystem.
